About the Speaker
Shelly Morrison will share with us the background and next steps in BC Hydro’s journey to improve supplier relationships.
Shelly has over 20 years of supply chain management experience in the public sector. In her present role with BC Hydro she is responsible for programs that improve and leverage supplier relationships to mutual advantage. This includes the planning, design, development and execution of strategic procurement programs such as Supplier Engagement, Supplier Relationship Management, Strategic Contract Management, Aboriginal Procurement and eCommerce Programs. BC Hydro ‘s goal through these and other initiatives is to evolve existing procurement and contract management practices with respect to how we interact with suppliers and service providers to best-in-class levels. Shelly will be focusing her comments on the importance of improving supplier relationships, the benefits for both BC Hydro and suppliers, and where we can go from here.
Shelly attributes a portion of her experience and knowledge to being a member of PMAC, attending PMAC events and networking with other SCM professionals.
